Nah, it seems to work just fine. I just sent two messages to my girlfriend, copying myself on the first one so I could "reply all" on the second and give it a brand spanking new subject line. They were grouped together in her OE mailer so either they honor the references/in-reply-to headers or they've developed great mind reading software.
