Just installed Redhat 9 with the associated packages. I note that the PHP is 4.2.2 and I was interested in taking that to 4.3.2
downloaded a php distribution and tried to configure it but can't get the apxs - configure gave: "Sorry, I cannot run apxs. Possible reasons follow: 1. Perl is not installed 2. apxs was not found. Try to pass the path using --with-apxs2=/path/to/apxs 3.
