I am setting up a replacement mail server to stand in for a few days while I upgrade our production server. I have copied the group, passwd, and shadow files over to the new machine. Do i need to copy anything else over? We use ipop3 to collect our mail. Do i need to make sure each user has a file in /var/spool/mail or will the system see to that when they get mail sent to them? Also, I did not create home directories for the users. Some users had them, and some did not. they were not accessible by the users at all. I just want to make sure i have this down so the transition goes relatively smoothly.
