Hello. This is my first post to the list so please forgive any blatant mistakes I might make.
As the subject states, I need to upgrade my PHP install. I'm (relatively) new to linux and so unless I can find an RPM I'm pretty much not going to get something installed. The reason I need to upgrade is so that I can use the sha1() function. For now I can do with md5 but I'd prefer to use sha when if possible. What I'm looking for is maybe some instructions on what I need to do to upgrade and/or some links that spell it out for me. I have looked around on red hat's site as well as google but haven't been able to find any info specific to Red Hat 8.0 on i386. Let me know if I've left out any important information.
