David,

I had the same error message when I was launching manually the update. I 
believe it is because I stopped cron services that were running in the back 
(in order to release some memory), including the one called rhnsd, in charge 
of the periodical RH updates.

I can be wrong (I am a newbie) but I thing it is not a big deal. I would be 
interested on hearing the opinion of the other members.
