I have put lines like this in my /etc/fstab:
//nl-burner/temp /mnt/burner smbfs noauto,uid=0,gid=100,noatime,umask=002,fmask=664,dmask=775,guest,workgroup=nl-oracle
//amisrd73/oracle /mnt/amis smbfs noauto,uid=0,gid=100,dmask=775,fmask=664,username=bkuik,password=bkuik

Then created two directories, like:
# mkdir /mnt/burner
# mkdir /mnt/amis

Then as a user, I can easily type
$ mount /mnt/burner

If you don't want to put a password in /etc/fstab, just leave it and when mounting, it'll ask for it.
