You might also want to try changing the keyword "server" to "nameserver". The man page for resolv.conf specifies "nameserver" as the keyword that defines the IP addresses of the name servers that your system should query. I don't see anything that suggests "server" is an acceptable abbreviation (but that might be an undocumented feature of the resolver library).
