Is it safe to assume that you're able to access this "folder" whilst in
linux? Because if you're not able to view/access the NTFS in linux,
you're not going to be able to successfully share the folder to the
network.

On the other hand, if you're able to view/access the NTFS partition in
linux, then there is something wrong with the way that Samba is
setup/configured - HTH mate...
