Yes,, I knew that I just never ran across the notion that you could 
mount the windows share from within the /etc/fstab file before.

I first read the man page for fstab in the early 1980's......
I guess its time to re-read it.. :-)

Are there some versions of windows which cannot be setup to use an LDAP
facility for user authentification?
