Hi all,

I am currently running RH 8.0 on my home network server. Each user is
getting their mail from various places usually using some free web-mail
account like hot-mail or yahoo. I have the single e-mail address my
cable Internet supplier provides me which is a pop account which I
access using evolution. What I would like to do is set up my own pop
server on the home network so each user could receive and sent mail
using our no-ip address. I have thought of doing this before, but have
always found myself feeling overwhelmed by the prospect of setting up
everything that seems to be needed. I may just be making things harder
for myself than I need to, but often when I am doing something for the
first time I miss the forest for the trees :)

I know that I can use no-ip.org as a dynamic dns for my web-server and
it has a setting for not only dns hosts and dns aliases, but also for
setting up mx records.

If someone could direct me to a good resource on setting something like
this up, and remember it needs to be very step by step oriented so I
don't get bogged down in things like, "You need to set up BIND" only to
go to a BIND howto and find it tells me that I need to know about BIND
to set up BIND.

I hope this e-mail made sense :)

Jim
