Possibly, I haven't looked into other ones since I went to qmail. Maybe there isn't allot of development on it cause there doesn't need to be any.
In my opinion, there does. The only remaining site that I deployed qmail on has problems with it on a regular, semi-frequent basis (it'll just stop processing the queue about once a month). Red Hat also used to use qmail for their mail lists, but apparently ditched it after some problems with mail delivery.
No need to make changes to a system that works well... If you need different functionality, just add an add on (There are tons) to qmail and edit some files and voila, all set...
Yes, and if you want more than one of those "tons" of add ons, you might find that the patches don't all apply. Other packages, such as Courier, provide all that qmail does without all the hacking.
