I don't want to get started on the woeful state of documentation in the Linux world. Assumptions of critical knowledge are made even in docs intended for newbies and help files are chronically not. That said I killed several trees printing and implementing many proposed solutions, finally stacked it all in a corner so I could get some work done (I think that is why I assembled the PC and bought RH8) using yet another kludge. Hopefully 8.1 will be quality controlled (unlike 8.0) and will resolve many of the thousands of bugs. I will probably acquire a second HDD and do a clean install and import critical data from my existing HDD, then wipe it. Just don't have time to mess with an impossibly kludged RH8 much any more. We shall see what RH8.1 brings ... Thanks! doc -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
