For some unknown reason I cannot resolve names from a remote location using "nslookup www <ipaddress>", but they will resolve when I type that from the server. Could someone please give me an idea of why this might occur. I have another server running the same version of linux (Redhat Linux Advanced Server 2.1) running the same version of BIND and I ftp'd all the files directly to the new dns server (named.hosts, named.local, named.conf, named.rev, root.cache). Does anyone know why I can't telnet from a remote location either? I figure the two issues are probably related.
