I've got a couple of questions concerning some problems I've got with my
new grafic card, Hercules Stingray 128/3D S33189.

In bootup some pci probing is going on and I get this error message :
"Warning : Unknown PCI device (1142:643d)". I just got two pci devices
and one is my grafic card, mentioned above, and the other is the old
grafic card intergrated on my motherboard, a Trident 9680 something.

Under the installation of Red Hat 5.0 Xconfigurator kicks in and
determines, just as SuperProbe does after installation, that my computor
got a Trident GUI 9660 chipset. It then installs the svga server and
therefore I don't get XF86Setup, witch I like a lot more than
xf86config.

After the installation I'm in a moment 22 and can't get Xconfigurator,
SuperProbe or xf86config to accept anything else than my old intergrated
card, witch by the way they detects wrongly.

SuperProbe gives me this:

BIOS Base address = 0xC0000

Doing Super-VGA Probes...
Probing WD...
Probing Video7...
Probing MX...
Probing Genoa...
Probing UMC...
Probing Trident...

Doing Graphics CoProcessor Probes...
Probing ATI_Mach...
Probing 8514/A...
Probing I128...
Probing GLINT...

First video: Super-VGA
Chipset: Trident GUI 9660 (PCI Probed)
Memory: 256 Kbytes
RAMDAC: Trident Built-In 15/16/24-bit DAC
(with 6-bit wide lookup tables (or in 6-bit mode))

Can anybody help me to get linux to accept my new card and forget about
the old one ?

Thanks in advance

h_unter
