Generally speaking it is a good idea to optimize your disk performance by
balancing disk activity over several drives and "controllers".

One would have to know your system HW configuration, partition
configuration, swap activity, disk/partition usage in order to determine
what, if anything, is to be gained.

The answers is not "obvious".
