I'm installing on a system that ha two RAID arrays... a HighPoint IDE RAID that I want to be for the OS, and an Adaptec SCSI RAID. Disk Druid is seeing the SCSI RAID as /dev/sda and the IDE RAID as /dev/sdb Getting past that part, my next option is to install the boot loader on the MBR of /dev/sda or on /dev/sdb1 How can I get the IDE RAID seen as /dev/sda?
If you manage to do this, please let me know. I'm having a related problem installing the OS on a HighPoint IDE RAID device. My problem is that the installation seems to work fine but I can't boot from /dev/sda after installation. The boot loader tells me that /dev/sda isn't mounted... If you know how to get around that problem, I'd appreciate your advice.
Thanks John D.
