I do use POP3 at this time, not any mail server, so I wonder if I can be of any help... Have you checked with Verizon to see if they accept authentication to use their SMTP server when you are sending mail through them while on another ISP service? Is they will do this (and some ISPs do...mine will), you could enter the user name and password for the Verizon account and tell your mail server to authenticate every time it sends mail through their SMTP server. I would think then that any valid email address under any domain would go through their SMTP server from sendmail.
