They are not "broken". ;)  They just don't feature a user-friendly
interface that would allow comfortable searching:

However, if you picked "psyche-list" for Red Hat Linux 8.0 rather
than the general redhat-list, the list archives would be much
smaller,

  https://listman.redhat.com/pipermail/psyche-list/

and probably the archive file for October 2002 or November 2002
would contain questions and answers on sendmail already.
