can anyone explain how gpasswd works? I can create a group and add and remove users using gpasswd, but when I set a password on the group the way I read it anyone who knows the group password can temporarily join the group using the newgrp command. the problem is that when I issue the newgrp command it always returns "newgrp: Permission denied"
