Okay, Thanks for your patience (if you're still there). Protocol . . .I'm not sure what that means. (Told you I'm a rank newbie). It goes through the nic into the cable into the router into the printer. Is that TCP/IP? I have no clue. The url looks like http://192.168.1.10
