creat the file call ifcfg-eth0:1 under /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ and
the following parameters and then restart the interface using ifdown and
ifup  commands.

DEVICE="eth0"
BOOTPROTO="none"
IPADDR=" "
NETMASK=" "
ONBOOT="yes"
