I just installed Python2.2.2 which was required by Mailman 2.1. I now have three versions of Python installed. Can I safely remove the earlier two versions or is there some run time module that some other program might require the early versions?
Depends on your Red Hat release. Some of the admin tools require 1.5.2, IIRC. If you try to remove them, rpm should tell you whether or not there are dependencies, and you can decide what to do then.
