I'm having great difficulty getting an Epson Stylus Color 740 connected to an IOGear USB KVM connected to a Dell Poweredge 2100/180 to be recognized by RH8. i've included the results of checkpc -V and mknod. when i try and mknod /dev/usb/lp0 c 180 0, i get a file alread exists error. when i use Red Hat Printer Config, the device doesn't show up even with a rescan and i have to try and enter it as Custom. the manuals i've read state that if the lp0 file exists and you select a proper driver printer config, then everything should work. am i missing something really stupid?
thanks in advance
Jay Moore
