You need to turn on the peerdns option.  You can do this from the
network configuration GUI of your choice, or edit the ifcfg-ppp? script
that matches up with your ISP. You can also add it to /etc/ppp/options, 
but that doesn't update /etc/resolv.conf automaticly.  Changing it in 
the RedHad config file does cause /etc/resolv.conf to be updated.
