be patient, wait till there are compadible RPMs available. Unless it's really urgent I wouldn't install it at all until redhat ships it. X is a VERY big part of a system and if you install it incorrectly it can break a lot of things. Especially if it's not installed via package management it can make upgrades in the future break. so yes you should be very nervous about upgrading, and I reccomend against attempting such an upgrade unless it was absolutely vital to the operation of your system. i.e. don't upgrade just because of the new resolution switching extensions.
