Thanks - Cups *has* solved the problem for my users.

I had intended on upgrading to it from LPRng at a more convenient time -
I didn't realise that it had all of the benefits that I wanted right
now!

The big problem that I had was that I was getting an "Access Denied" all
of the time. I couldn't get CUPS working for the life of me!

4 hours of searching and RTFMing later, with no results, I turned off my
proxy settings (which point to an SME 5 gateway). That'll teach me for
not looking at the obvious first!


I might look at using KPrinter as well, at a later date. It looks nice -
very easy for my ex-Windows users to use. Flexible & simple.
