I have several systems (all configured differently) that need to have up2date run. I have run it against one of the systems and simply downloaded the patches. All the .RPM and .HDR files are now burned on a CD. I have 2 questions.
1. How can I first run up2date against the files on the CD so I can minimize the bandwidth downloading these files for each system?
2. If I read correctly, running up2date -p will update RHN after I have patched the system with my previously downloaded RPMs. Is this correct?
TIA
Steve
