I did not make an initrd image. However, since I copied the grub.conf entry for a working kernel, I assumed it would reference the previous initrd image. Also, there is no scsi adapter on my PC. The references to initrd I've seen in the Red Hat Linux Bible and on the Red Hat web site say it is required for SCSI. Why would the initrd image cause me to get no modules?
