NIS works !!

Hello Everyone,   Finally I managed to get the NIS up and running thanks to so many gurus in the list . Now after this I am facing another problem,  when I login in as a NIS user I am not able to start the Xwindow session. When I give startx the screen just goes blank and comes out back to authentication screen itself. Is this normal ?   can anyone please advise me ......... :-)     regards   senthil
