Hi

I'm trying to install redhat 8.0 on an old Siemens laptop by network.
Booted from pcmcia.img, then used the driver disk, but it doesn't
recognize the card, it allows only hard drive install. Probing for
pcmcia doesn't recognize anything ( not even the bus ). This laptop had
a freebsd before on it, so the network works.

I've also tried the phoebe3 boot disks, they work more. I manually
select the driver for the card ( 3com megahertz, 3ccfem556b, fully
supported on red hat hardware compatibility list ). Some messages:

intel pcic probe: cirrus .. isa-to-pcmcia at port .., 2 sockets
loaded i82365 found ..
loaded ds
inserted pcmcia_core.o, i82365.o, ds.o
..
inserted 3c574_cs

But then it complaints it's unable to find any devices needed for ftp
install. I've tried 2 different 3com cards, both tested on antoher
laptop and working.

Looked on laptop howto and google, I can't find any hints to make this
work. Any help appreciated, thanks
