Here are a few ideas: * Run "up2date --nox mysql" to install from Red Hat Network. * Run "up2date --help" and see how to point up2date to packages on your local hard disk. IIRC, it's option -k. * Get apt4rpm and install with apt-get from an RPM repository on the network. * Make sure you have the rpmdb-redhat package installed, then note the suggested packages at the end of a failed package installation attempt like "rpm -Uvh *mysql*". Add those suggested packages to your command-line. Or try option --aid with all your packages in one directory. * Look for additional tools at http://freshmeat.net Though, I would do it with plain rpm -Uvh and don't know what problems you have seen. - -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+S6VK0iMVcrivHFQRAmBCAJ9z5mghak6fDzhkdyfpy+NXR5t9hgCdFfXP Z6MlyOT8D1AZCl+G9vnNTKI= =y8TZ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
