Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has managed to get the CryptoAPI stuff, and in
particular the AES loopback encryption working on RedHat 8.0?

As I am using a laptop, I want to be able to create an encrypted
filesystem stored in a file to contain confidential information.

I tried recently, but ran into problems...

- I patched the kernel source with the cryptoAPI patches from kernel.org
- Using make xconfig, I selected all the encryption algorithms.
- The patched source successfully compiled and ran.
- I inserted the cryptoapi and cipher-aes modules
- but the losetup command still reported that AES was not supported.

Thanks in advance
Paul S
