Hi there, I am trying to update the whole hard disk of a remote Linux machine. First I have created a ramdisk in the remote machine, upload the new image via FTP to the ramdisk and run in the remote machine: # dd if=/mnt/ramdisk of=/dev/hda
'dd' seemed to work fine, as it didn't complain but, when I reseted the machine, it didn't boot, it displayed: 'Lilo loading' but didn't load the kernel. I think 'dd' should have had some problem.
