I have tested and successfully run the script on a windows machine with Apache and activestate perl. Do you still think that this might be the problem? Below is the code I'm trying to run to test it. I have simplified this script for testing. If I can get this one to work then I think I can get the others to work too, since they all are working on the windows box. The code gets executed by a submit button on the .html page. Thanks for the help.
