I talk to my Nokia 6310 from RedHat 7.3 using the Infra-Red port on my Toshiba portege 7220 laptop - it works fine. However, as far as I know, RedHat 7.3 has no Bluetooth support, so even if you get a Bluetooth PCMCIA card, it won't work under linux.
