How to imaps?

Hello,   I would like to implement a SSL over IMAP. I found there is a built-in imaps in RH Linux 8.0, and there is no docs for the imaps. I can start it with xinetd and opened 993 port, but the clients can not log in.   Any idea how to use it?   Cheers, Leo
