hi everybody, i run redhat 7.2 and want to increase to maximum file descriptors but got two problems:
1st: when i log in with root and changed with ulimit -Hn 20000 and ulimit -n 2000 everything is ok. ulimit -a shows correct 20000. but when i log out and in again there were again only 1024 file descriptors. how can is set this permanent? 2nd: how can is set the limit for the users on this machine. when a users tries to do ulimit -Hn 20000 he gets permission denies even when he is in the root group. i hope you can help me. thx frank -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
