I have had very good luck just copying the folder across from one server to another. In fact, it even works when copying mysql databases from windows to linux. I had Apache/mySQL running on a Windows 2000 box for a while, and when I wanted to move the databases to my Redhat box, I was able to just copy the database folders across and restart mysql.
You should be able to copy the entire /var/lib/mysql directory from one box to another. I would stop the mysql service before doing the copy, but other than that you should be fine. -- Shannon Neumann Neumannweb Computers www.neumannweb.net > Hello, > > Well, I've got my redhat 8 production server almost done.
