-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I have an internal network, on which people are using SAMBA & also doing FTP, HTTP, Windows, and just creating files from the command line. I would mostly be interested if there's a SAMBA fix - as I recall there's a create mode, but I can't recall how to use it & haven't had a chance to go through the docs, again.
I run into problems when someone creates a file & then can't delete it, or winblows chokes up a hairball because it can't do things with the temp file it just created out in that directory. - -Tom - -----Original Message----- From: Richard S. Setting chmod 777 on the directory should do it just fine. On the other hand, Bret might be right as well. This may not be possible. I'm not enough of a Linux expert to know for sure. ;-) May I ask why you need to do this? There might be a more efficient solution to your problem. For example, if you have a bunch of programmers all working together on a big project, maybe it's better to look into cvs or some other source management tool?
