You can add fonts to openoffice.org by going into the printer setup. openoffice won't use any fonts for display unless they're also available for printing and oo 1.0 doesn't automatically add screen fonts to the printer font list. I did this for my TT fonts in RH 8.0 and it worked like a charm.
