I have tried to google around to find a solution here. I have put options for the gui for the xinit command

xinit /usr/local/netscape/netscape -no-about-splash geometry=800x600+0+0

Now I get an error message that makes sense

The Xkeyboard keymap compiler (xkbcomp) reports:
Error: no symbols named "" in the include file "no"
Exiting
Abandoning symbols file "default"
Errors from xkbcomp are not fatal to the X server
Couldn't load XKB keymap, falling back to pre-XKB keymap.

As it seemed to be something wrong with the Norwegian character set I converted to us-latin1 character set. It did not help

Is this a bug in rh7.0? Does anyone have any idea to solve this? I have tried to run netscape in xinit both as root and user. the same problem occures.

I forgot to tell that everything works fine in netscape4.7. I have tried in opera5, the keyboard worked in the beginning but dropped out after some minutes use. If I start normally with startx and then start netscape7 everything works ok. But with xinit the keyboard fall out. I guess there must be some resources that runs with X that do not start with xinit. But there must be an option in the xinit command to call these resources, right?

When I start netscape with xinit I can not use the keyboard, does simply not work. If I start terminal with just giving command with xinit it works fine.

What must I do here? I am using Norwegian character set,
