Daniel, Thanks for replying so quickly, but this doesn't seem to be the problem.
I had performed the steps: make mrproper make xconfig make dep make clean make bzImage make modules make modules_install and just tried the last two again to make sure everything worked (it seemed to). In the Makefile, I have EXTRAVERSION = -19.8.0jan2003, but when I go to the path "/lib/modules/2.4.18-19.8.0jan2003/kernel/drivers/", there is only the net folder.
