I have a new laptop, which I am trying to install RH 7.3 on. I ran into a couple of problems with pcmcia.
When I tried to boot up with the cdrom. It hung with pcmcia on the screen. Nothing would respond (keyboard, mouse), so I have to power off the computer. I managed to get the installation to work by installing via floppy. With pcmcia service installed, the computer will hang when loading pcmica. Again nothing but powering off will work. The last thing it saws on the screen before it hangs is try "pci=biosirq" This is beyond me. I looked in a number of pcmcia files, but have no idea, what is being suggested here. The hardware browser gives the following information: OZ6933 Cardbus Controller Manufacturer: O2 Micro, Inc.
