Michael, That was a typo. Was your ln -s /usr/java/j2re1.4.0_01/* a typo? I followed your directions and realized that it should have been ln -s /usr/java/j2re1.4.1_01/*. It appeared to me that you were mixing versions there and I attempted to make a correction to help Tom. It's not my first, nor probably my last typo. Otherwise thanks for your help. I've found your posts to be very helpful in the past.
Here is my corrected line: The last line should read: ln -s /usr/java/j2re1.4.1_01/plugin/i386/ns610/libjavaplugin_oji.so. You will need to be root and in the directory of /usr/lib/mozilla-1.01/plugins for that previous ln -s command to work. That command is creating a symbolic link from /usr/java/j2re1.4.1_01/plugin/i386/ns610/libjavaplugin_oji.so to /usr/lib/mozilla-1.01/plugins directory. lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 61 Jan 3 17:06 libjavaplugin_oji.so -> /usr/java/j2re1.4.1_01/plugin/i386/ns610/libjavaplugin_oji.so TIA, Jim On Fri, 2003-01-03 at 18:29, Michael Fratoni wrote: > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > Hash: SHA1 > > On Friday 03 January 2003 05:15 pm, Jim Webb wrote: > > On Thu, 2003-01-02 at 22:34, Michael Fratoni wrote: > > > > o cd /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins > > > o ln -s /usr/java/j2re1.4.0_01/plugin/i386/ns610/libjavaplugin_oji.so > > > > The last line should read: ln -s > > /usr/java/j2re1.4.1_01/plugin/i386/ns610/libjavaplugin_oji/so I can't > > remember whether I modified the rpm* line. > > Err, why should the link name be libjavaplugin_oji/so ? > > [root@paradox plugins]# ll libjavaplugin_oji.so > lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 61 Oct 6 00:02 > libjavaplugin_oji.so -> > /usr/java/j2re1.4.0_01/plugin/i386/ns610/libjavaplugin_oji.so > > - -- > - -Michael > > pgp key: http://www.tuxfan.homeip.net:8080/gpgkey.txt > Red Hat Linux 7.{2,3}|8.0 in 8M of RAM: http://www.rule-project.org/ > - -- > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- > Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) > > iD8DBQE+Fhz1n/07WoAb/SsRAjC/AJ4+vHRYNYpKO+yV/R25FgW9S6GgCACgngoG > 7wkU9GQbNM4lpAFpSVHBEx4= > =mSbp > -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
