I am running a Redhat 7.3 Machine using the 2.4.18-19.7.x kernel.

I recently used parted to resize my ext3 partion which was somewhat of a
challenge because I had to move the start of the partition so it was
somewhat complicated.

When I was finished I ran grub-install /dev/hda to reload grub on my
MBR.

Now I am having a strange problem, my laptop starts up and boots fine.
The problem is that as soon as it turns on it reads from the hard drive
for at least 30 seconds before printing out the messages grub stage 1.5
and then grub 2. Next it brings up the normal grub menu and works fine.

I am guessing that somewhere in the boot process it is looking for a
file that changed location in the move and must scan my HD every time to
find it. I am not sure how to fix this.

HELP PLEASE

Thanks,
Aaron
