Does anyone have a favorite printer for use at home? I have a
Panasonic 5400 that is very small and has Postscript II. However, its
old (~ 8 years) and it now jams often. It's very slow (4 ppm) but in
the 8 years I've only printed 2000 pages so speed is not too
important. What I like:

- Postscript; ghostscript is nice, but fonts can be a problem
- compatible with Linux (mainly ASCII and Web pages)
- compatible with WinXX
- small foot print
- low-cost toner (the Panasonic is about a penny per page)
- parallel port (USB is the trend, but I have a ||-port print server)
- reliable
- < $300 ?

Does such a printer exist? Any recommendations are welcome!

Thanks!

Jim
