What are you using NIS for? Is it to synchronize w/ an existing environment, or is this a new setup? If it's new, you would be better served w/ Kerberos + LDAP: http://www.ofb.net/~jheiss/krbldap/howto.html I can't promize it's any easier, but it works pretty well. js -- VB programmers ask why no one takes them seriously, it's somewhat akin to a McDonalds manager asking employees why they don't take their 'career' seriously.
