No.  You can only up2date within the current version.  The up2date
updates are typically security-only patches, whereas newer versions
typically have new features too.

Since Red Hat has announced some end-of-life dates for later in 2003,
you need to be careful since you'll either have to update to a newer
version (or Advanced Workstation/Server) or lose security updates.
up2date won't help you here.
