Hi,

I installed RH7.3 on an old computer (Pentium I - 100 MHZ - 48MB RAM -
1GB hd) and I chose GRUB as my boot-loader.

I was unable to boot from the CD-ROM (even after changing the
BIOS-settings) so I created a boot-disc using the RAWRITE-utility on the
CD (the version that came with Red Hat Linux 7.3 for dummies).

With this disc I was able to start the installation process. I was
however unable to create a boot-disc during the installation due to a
disc-error.

After the installation was complete the machine rebooted but after the
floppy is detected I get a message complaining about an invalid
system-disc. (this is the case regardless of the settings in the BIOS)

Is it possible this machine can't handle GRUB? If so how can I switch to
lilo without reinstalling? (there's no lilo.conf so I guess running lilo
won't have much affect)

Or is there a way to fix GRUB? Or is this problem more likely caused by
something else?

I'll try to boot using the boot-disc I created during the installation
of this computer...

TIA
