I had the same problem here, too. I found I had to set the servers, kill
NS, then run it again. Without doing that it would give me something
like "can't find server POP" or whatever.
If you've already done that and it still doesn't work, maybe you have
some daemons not running. I'm still working to narrow down which causes
it but, I turn a bunch of stuff off, reboot, then can't get some things
working. I turn it all back on, reboot, and all is well.
Wish I could find this (and I will) as I'm limited in memory (by laptop
design) and need to turn unnecessary things off to preserve space.
